About Us

Newton Center is an educational day care facility located across from College Hill Courts.  Our goal is to provide child care during the parent/guardian’s hours of employment, schooling, or job training.  Children are served from six weeks through five years. Our goal is to provide your child with the best care available and properly prepare them for school.  The Center is funded by the Presbytery of East Tennessee and local churches.

The staff, in cooperation with parent/guardians, provide for the social, emotional, physical, mental, and educational needs of children while their parent/guardians are working. The child care atmosphere encourages the wholesome development of children by providing opportunities for problem solving, decision making and exploration of their environment. Children’s self-esteem is fostered through a sense of trust, love and belonging. The safe and secure early childhood education setting has as its ultimate goal children’s acquisition of skills so that they will be best prepared for life’s experiences.
